Plustown

Plus-size people in the Middle East had no dedicated, culturally-aware space of their own. Mainstream social platforms are English-first rather than RTL-native, and are rarely safe or affirming for this community. Business Circles set out to build the region's first bilingual plus-size community — which meant a product that is Arabic-first and RTL-native from the ground up, safety-critical by design, and equally at home on web and on mobile.

What we built

Pharadev delivered Plustown end-to-end as a bilingual (English + Arabic, fully RTL-aware) community platform. It spans a Next.js 15 marketing and community web experience, a Flutter customer app, and a Go backend paired with a dedicated moderation and operations admin console. Members find friends, events, stories, a member directory and a shop — "in the language we actually speak" — with moderation, reporting, and data-privacy tooling built in as first-class concerns rather than afterthoughts.
