Privacy policy

Who we are

This website is run by Pharadev, a software and automation studio based in Cairo, Egypt. Pharadev decides how the personal data described here is used and is responsible for it.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, request a call or ask for a quote, we receive what you type into the form:

• your name, email address, phone number and company;
• the type of project you have in mind and your message or notes;
• for a call request, the call channel you prefer (WhatsApp, video or phone), the time windows you pick and your time zone;
• your confirmation that you agree to us processing these details.

Along with the form, the website records:

• your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, used to block spam and abuse;
• how you found us: the site that referred you, the campaign tags in the link you followed (for example utm_source or a LinkedIn or Google click id) and the first page you landed on. Your browser keeps this for up to 30 days so a later enquiry can be credited to the visit that brought you.

If you use the chat assistant, we receive the messages you write to it and any contact details you choose to share in the conversation.

We count visits with Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves. It records the pages viewed, the referring site, your browser, operating system, device type and country. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address.

Like most websites, our servers keep short-lived technical logs of requests (IP address, page requested, time and browser) for security and troubleshooting.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• To reply to your enquiry, arrange the call you asked for and prepare a proposal. The basis is your consent, given with the checkbox on the form.
• To keep the forms free of spam and abuse, and the site secure. The basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
• To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to us, using statistics that do not identify you.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

Who processes it for us

We share your data only with the services we need to run this website and answer you:

• Our own servers, rented from a hosting provider, which run this website, our content system and the database where enquiries are stored.
• Brevo, which delivers our emails: the notification of your enquiry to our team and the confirmation sent to you.
• The chat assistant runs on our own servers and sends your chat messages to a third-party AI model provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) to write its replies.
• WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to message or call us there.

Some of these providers process data outside Egypt and Saudi Arabia. We use them only for the purposes above.

How long we keep it

• We keep an enquiry while we answer you and follow up on any work that comes of it. It is deleted automatically, together with every email we sent about it, 24 months after our last contact about it. Ask us and we delete it sooner.
• Chat conversations are kept by the assistant service; ask us and we delete yours.
• The record of how you found us stays in your browser for up to 30 days.

Cookies and browser storage

• Our visitor statistics use no cookies.
• Your browser's local storage keeps the record of how you found us (pd_first_touch, up to 30 days).
• The chat assistant keeps a conversation id in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.

Your rights

Under Egypt's and Saudi Arabia's personal data protection laws, and the GDPR where it applies, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data;
• stop using your data, or withdraw a consent you gave. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before.

Email info@pharadev.com from the address you used with us and we will reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

How we protect it

The website and our content system are served only over HTTPS. Enquiries are stored in our own database, and only Pharadev team members with an account can read them.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle personal data, we update this page and the date at the top.
